I am proud to announce the return of the Wutend Rongulo Science Hour, after a year's hiatus! HA! YEAH!o

Fenrir and I will be broadcasting from Club Fur, on SL. the first furry club! yes! it still exists! come over to Kitsuhana and check out the insanity on every thursday night, if you're so inclined. the hours are still being worked on, but we know it'll be thursday night!

now that I got roughly 10 hours of sleep, here we go.

the drive back was, unfortunately very eventful. it still wasn't as bad as coming down, at least!

Nova Blue sustained moderate damage as I had an encounter with yet another deer charging the car. at least I was able to keep this one from coming through the windshield! I had to spend a few hours mcguyvering up the front end so that it was stable enough to make it to CO, but I did a good enough job that she's going to hold together for a good long time I think. the only real way you can tell there was something that happened is by the driver's side rear, toward the back door... it got rather dented up by the deer's ass. I know it was it's ass because that's where all the poo was that I had to wash off. >_> anyways, functional damage fixed for now, only cosmetic.

I'm about to get a hunting license and a shotgun. I'm serious.

I DID meet a fuel stop owner of a philips 66 at the very first exit in CO on 70 whom I like very much. his name was Ed and he sells goggles wholesale. ALL KINDS of them. I was able to purchase a new set of foul weather goggles that were much more advanced than my old ones for ubercheap. so some good news there. the place is only about 1 1/2 hours away... :)

also, when I sleep this long after so much activity, my brain comes up with some messed up ideas. 10 player Contra anyone? XD

it's almost time to leave Huntsville again. ...this place really was home once. I'll always miss the people, the roads, the good times... unlike McMinnville, I won't ever be able to let this place truly go. I'm heading to Bandito to see Haystack, then performing my work shift... and after that, it's time to leave again.

my past is here. this is where I can recollect myself when I need to "reboot." I think I've been gone too long to actually matter to most of the folks here anymore, but the roads will always be true.

no. nope. uh uh.

monogamy is one that escapes me. love can exist for more than one at any given time, and granted some can be loved more than others... but love shouldn't be ignored because of some sort of artificially created obligation. this is my belief.

last night my aunt's condition actually worsened, despite how she seemed. that's what I was afraid of. all this just in time for me to be heading out to Huntsville probably tomorrow. I'll keep you all appraised of my situation, and when I'll arrive!

yesterday, my parents took me out to the aquarium. I captured some excellent pictures and video... but I'll be posting them later, as it seems my aunt has had to go into the hospital. due to the circumstances, I won't be able to do anything at the hospital anyways, thus I'm stuck alone.

to cheer myself up some, I went looking for some amusing videos and found...these.

Walkthrough: Fall Creek Falls

Alright! Due to popular demand, I'll go ahead and post a walkthrough for Fall Creek Falls. Since my readers are the best, I'll even include the little secret extras! Exclusive! Right here behind the cut!

Picking up from the end of the last chapter, you're in the car, treated to some interesting camerawork like in this screenshot. I guess they took some artistic liberties.

Before too long you'll just be compelled by some unfathomable force to stop and look directly down the wrong side of the road. Again, what were the designers on here? Anyways, this is a walkthrough, not a critique. At least it's pretty!

So first thing's first, head to the right and examine the sign. "NO SWIMMING." It looks like it says more, but really, that's all it says. Pretty lake, but if you don't listen to the sign and try to swim in it, you'll find it's actually PURE ACID AND SNAKES. Don't ask how the snakes survive, I don't. There's also a really long path around this lake that leads to an inn if you need a sleep and forgot to stock up on camping supplies back in the last town.

Once you're ready, turn back around and head back across the street to find another path. It's a pretty simple paved path... it'd be great if you had a bike, even if it looks a little worn down. Before too long down this path though you find out that it may not have been a good idea anyways. If you try to ignore the sign, vicious zombie attack squirrels appear to eat your tasty brains. And nuts.

At the end of the path, you find Fall Creek Falls. What, you thought a place like this was named for the redundancy? Well, the name is still redundant, since the falls could have came off of any other river, but it's still Fall Creek Falls, just like the sign says.

Here we get treated to some stunning visuals for our troubles before heading down the path to the right. Back here is where we can find our first hidden area! To get there, find this bridge, cross it, then turn around. You'll want to go up this way, and to the upper right. as demonstrated in this video. The payoff is an absolutely fantastic view of the falls, and the area at the bottom of the path shown on the sign. It's screaming to be modded into a deathmatch arena! It'd be a sniper's paradise! Too bad the Reality2009 console has such good anti-hack security.

With the first goal completed, turn back around and head back down that path. You'll get back in the car and you'll find the village! Great, they even have a general store! Be sure you get some ice, you'll need it later. They don't have tents or gyroscopes though, that'd make it easy.

Next stop will be "Buzzard's Roost." This part's pretty misleading, so pay close attention. I got stuck here for about 9 hours! You'll start here. Go on up and look at the sign. Milikan's Overlook AND Buzzard's Roost. OK, what's up with that? There's this area below the overlook that kind of sticks out... but that's not Buzzard's Roost. Oh, no, this is devious. There's a path to the side, as demonstrated here. Be careful here of the zombie squirrels and flying monkeys, and here with the drop-off.

Once you get past the drop-off, just stop. You want to go left and find... THIS. How about those saturation effects! Also, that's supposed to be "LOOKING down the cumberland gap." oops. We're treated to more eye candy before moving on. Here, we can find Hidden Area 2!

first, going back to the drop-off before turning left... go to the right instead. it's hiding right under here but you can't see OR reach it from here. So, go find this spot in the stream and step over. Just step around the overhang and you'll see a former cave entrance. This one's obviously for the campers. Objective complete, just backtrack and get out of there! The last stop is the big finale, the Nature Center area.

First thing you'll notice is this sign. Pretty ominous. Who's this Betty Dunn? You never find out, so maybe it's going to be in a sequel! Anyways, head off to the right, passing the apparent nature center, toward the Cascades. Even more ominously, there's a long flight of stairs leading down. Taking a look to the left hints that not all is well here. The Cascades are less cascades and more raging rapids right now. There's no getting across this way.

So, back up we go, then to the right. Here we find out way across...a really scary looking suspended bridge. Hoboy. You knew this was coming right? This part made me throw my controller through my tv 20 times. It was pretty expensive. but in the end, I made it across by running like a maniac! So once you get to this bridge, just RUN!

then, you can just sit back and watch the chapter end cinematic! ...I don't get it either, but maybe they'll explain it in the next chapter release.

That's it! Now you should be able to beat Fall Creek Falls too!

went to FCF (this won't be the last time, no) and got pictures and video of various significant areas. that post is coming tonight, once I have the time to post it all up.

hopefully I can find someone willing to take some video while I drive so I can capture the essence of some of these roads for those who're just as obsessed with driving as myself!

spotted a dirty old brown vanagon several times...made me miss Nitro.

some truckers REALLY need to learn to stay out of the left lane.

the drive, which should have taken 18 hours, took 24 due to a fever I developed shortly after take-off, a tornado which destroyed an area in my path, and st. louis. that's all I have to say is St. Louis. if you've been through there, you know. no, I didn't sleep.
